SOLIDNet™

HIGH SECURITY NETWORK ENCRYPTION

Etion Create’s SOLIDnet™ products form part of our proprietary SOLIDGuard™ range of security appliances that addresses the need of governments and enterprises to communicate securely over shared or public networks such as the Internet, by providing a secure IPsec based Virtual Private Network (VPN) solution. Adaptable to a variety of networking scenarios, the SOLIDnet™ products are designed to communicate at Top Secret classification levels if required, making them suitable for most government and military applications.

SOLIDnet™ is a bouquet of secure networking solutions that delivers peace of mind for organisations and governments that must communicate securely over public or third-party networks, without exchanging any data with the untrusted public networks. The tamper-proof, hardware-based SOLIDnet™ appliances prevent unauthorised access to information, and utilise the best available encryption algorithms. These appliances are designed to create a customisable network of connectivity solutions that deliver absolute network security to the public and private sectors. As hardware-based network encryption products, the SOLIDnet™ devices provide various levels of firmware and software that:

  • enable commercial (AES256) or proprietary (client-supplied) cryptographic algorithms

  • provide hardware tamper protection of cipher and key material

  • provide cryptographically authenticated secure administrative access

Etion Create currently has two device models in its SOLIDNet™ product range.

SOLIDId™

HIGH SECURITY IDENTIFICATION

The SOLIDid™ forms part of Etion Create’s SOLIDGuard™ range of cyber security products. The SOLIDid™ is a portable public key infrastructure (PKI) cryptographic token solution. It provides industry-leading features and functionality that cover a wide range of information and cybersecurity applications. As a USB-based extension of smart card technology, the SOLIDid™ makes use of advanced cryptography to provide security for certificate-based authentication, verification, signing and encryption. The token provides a wide range of cryptographic algorithms, curves and key sizes.

Typical uses of the SOLIDid™ include secure remote access for VPN and web clients, multi-factor authentication, encryption, and digital signing of emails and documents, digital certificate, key and password storage, and on-board key generation. As a FIPS 140-2 Level 3 validated solution, the SOLIDid™ 5000 provides additional cryptographic security by means of a hardware-based true random number generator for improved security of on-board key generation.
